The holidays are a tricky time,especially for people who are struggling with weight loss. There are all kinds of excuses to forget all about your diet! Everyone has friends,neighbors,co-workers or family members who bake for the holidays,and this can add up to lots of sweets. The meals get bigger and richer,calories are everywhere! There are,however,ways to overcome all of these factors and stick to your diet and exercise program. This doesn’t mean you have to spend hours on end at the gym -it’s often better to fit in shorter exercise sessions throughout the day when you get a chance. Slowing down when you eat can help you gain greater enjoyment from the dish,as opposed to just shoveling it down. This way you can be surrounded by food,and enjoy eating it as well,but in limited quantities. You feel satisfied and happy without having to overindulge. Keeping true to your diet and exercise program during the holidays may not be easy,but it can be done. Don’t fall victim to the belief that gaining holiday pounds is inevitable,because it’s not. You can get through the holidays with your diet intact,even if you attend some holiday meals and parties -just make sure you eat healthy and exercise the remainder of the time!
